About Other Matters

A. Creation

The creation account as described in the first two chapters of the book of Bresheet (Genesis) is to be accepted as factual, historical, and perspicuous; that all things in the universe were spoken into existence from nothing by God in the six days[1] of special creation; and that this knowledge is foundational in the understanding of every fact and phenomenon in the created universe. The theories of random spontaneous creation and the evolution of species should be rejected as not only unbiblical but also intellectually untenable. As they are diametrically opposed to the known universal laws of thermodynamics, they simply cannot be accepted by any credible scientist, and are not science, but faith in the tenets of the religion of Secular Humanism.

B. Human Sexuality

God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity should be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. Therefore, any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, or pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex.

C. The Sanctity of Life

Human life begins at the moment of conception and the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion therefore constitutes the unjustifiable, inexcusable taking of unborn human life.

Simply stated, abortion is the murder of an infant.

Sacrificing infants to MolechAny teaching that abortions of pregnancies due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth or population control, or the mental well being of the mother are not acceptable excuses for the murder of an infant.

Since the “reproductive freedom” and “freedom of choice” proponents are doing so for personal benefit to avoid the “inconvenience” of having to raise a child as a “consequence” of their immorality, their actions are identical to the worship of Molech (another name for HaSatan), when children were roasted alive on the idol’s outstretched arms to obtain personal prosperity.

While the Scriptures are clear that all human life is sacred, given by God, and to be revoked only at His pleasure, capital punishment is also clearly taught in the Scriptures, so that evil may be put away from among God’s people. (Deut. 13:5; 17:7, 12; 19:19; 21:21; 22:19-24; 24:7)

______________

  1. We do not pretend to know, nor do we believe that it is important for us to know, whether the period of time included in the “six days of creation” was equal to six periods of 24 hours each, according to man’s current calculation of time. Since the Scripture specifically refers to “the evening and morning” of each day, we assume that literal days are intended. God, Who is the Creator and Author of Scripture, exists outside the dimensions of time and space, and mankind has no way of knowing what “six days” means from God’s perspective. What is important is that God said it, and we therefore accept it as Truth without having to fully understand it.

That having been said, current understanding of Einstein’s Theory of Relativity holds that time as we know it is relative to the position and circumstances of the observer. Nuclear physicist Gerald L. Schroeder, Ph.D., has demonstrated in The Hidden Face of God: Science Reveals the Ultimate Truth (May 9, 2002) how, by using Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, he has calculated that when viewed from the point of creation looking outward (God’s perspective) the Bible’s six days of creation are identical to the 14 billion years since the “Big Bang” as viewed from earth looking back toward the center of the universe.

“We look at the universe, and say, ‘How old is the universe? Looking back in time, the universe is approximately 14 billion years old.’ That’s our view of time and those years went by. But what is the Bible’s view of those billions of years looking forward from the beginning? How does it see time? …

“We look back in time, and measure of the universe to be 14 billion years old. But as every scientist knows, when we say the universe is 14 billion years old, there’s another half of the sentence that we rarely bother to state. The universe is 14 billion years old as measured from the time-space coordinates of the earth, that is, from our current position in the universe.

“The key is that from the creation of the universe to the creation of the soul of Adam, the Bible looks forward in time, from time-space coordinates when the universe was vastly smaller than it is today. Since then, the universe has expanded out. Space stretches, and that stretching of space totally changes the perception of time.”

The calculations are also explained on his website. [RETURN]
